Who we are

ALF Fire Protection Limited is a passive fire protection contractor working across the United Kingdom. We install fire stopping, compartmentation, fire doors, cavity barriers and intumescent coatings as a specialist subcontractor to main contractors, developers, housing providers and facilities managers, on new-build, refurbishment and remediation projects.

We specialise. Passive fire protection is the whole of what we do, which means our operatives work to the same manufacturer systems every week and our supervisors know what a correct detail looks like without opening a manual.

Director-led experience

Our directors bring more than 20 years of experience in passive fire protection. Their backgrounds cover installation, supervision, surveying, commercial delivery and the management of complex packages from early design review through to final handover.

That experience has been built in demanding environments for high-profile clients, principal contractors and property stakeholders who expect clear communication, disciplined programme control and complete records. We bring the same standard of care to every instruction, whatever the scale of the project.

How we work

Work starts with drawings and a survey, not with a price. We match each element to a tested system with a stated fire resistance period, issue RAMS before mobilising, and install to the manufacturer’s tested detail. Where site conditions differ from the tested condition, we raise it and agree an alternative rather than adapting a detail that was never tested that way.

Evidence and traceability

Every installation is photographed and tagged against its location, drawing reference and tested detail. That record is issued in the handover pack alongside product data sheets and installation schedules, so the client can prove what was installed, where, and to which tested detail — at handover, at audit, and years later when the building changes hands.

Third-party certification of our installations is in progress. We will publish our position as it changes, and we will not claim a scheme we do not hold.
